Grace, But Then it’s Up to Us?
I saw a video with this, and I feel like I should share it:
Religion teaches that grace is powerful enough to save you, but not powerful enough to transform you. That it’s your work that transforms you.
If grace is sufficient while you were his enemy, why would it become insufficient now that you are his child?
At what point did we agree that grace was the door that we walked through and then the rest of it was up to us?
Ephesians 2 says we are saved by grace, but it is his workmanship that lives through, that changes our lives. So when did the father’s posture toward us change? Because we know that it hasn’t. It hasn’t at any point in time. It is not by your works that your life is changed, that your heart is changed.
Because the truth is that all of your sins were dealt with. Every single one past present future sins were dealt with at the cross. Otherwise the cross would be insufficient and it wasn’t. It was sufficient enough to cover you, all of you, so that you can now remain and abide in Christ. And so grace does not require you to outwork everything in you.
Either Lord comes to transform your heart and through a heart transformation, that is how lives change.

Ephesians 2:8-9 is the key – there are many good translations of this verse, but I like this one the best:
For by grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the love gift from God that brought us to Christ! So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving.
Ephesians 2:8-9 TPT
It’s finished. You’re saved. Quit returning back to if you’re saved or not. That’s a distraction keeping you from doing what you’re supposed to do: love God and love others.
