Think of it – All Sins Forgiven / the Slate Wiped Clean!

God just lead me to Colossians chapter two. Here is a part of it in The Message Version – about verse 11:

Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s cross.

Isn’t that… good news?

There’s so much of this chapter I love – like this part:

Don’t tolerate people who try to run your life, ordering you to bow and scrape, insisting that you join their obsession with angels and that you seek out visions. They’re a lot of hot air, that’s all they are. They’re completely out of touch with the source of life, Christ, who puts us together in one piece, whose very breath and blood flow through us. He is the Head and we are the body. We can grow up healthy in God only as he nourishes us.

This means that you should not just listen to what people say, but go to God instead. I’ve been on a 7 plus year journey doing this. Actually, it might go back to 2008, so more like a 17 year journey. I backed away from “church” in general. God wanted me all to himself. He wanted to teach me and show me himself directly instead of through others.

Go read Colossians 2 in The Message Version and let God speak to you today.
