12 Encouraging Promises from God

Sometimes, we all need some encouragement. Here are 12 promises from God based on Scripture:

God will never leave or forsake you
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

God will give you peace
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

God will provide for your needs
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

God will give you strength
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)

God works all things for your good
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

God will answer when you call
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

God forgives your sins
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

God will give rest to the weary
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

God protects those who trust in Him
“The Lord will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” (Psalm 121:7–8)

God gives wisdom generously
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5)

God gives eternal life
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

God will complete the good work He started in you
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)

These promises span themes of comfort, provision, forgiveness, strength, and eternal hope — a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness throughout Scripture.
