When You Mess Up, God Wants You Even More

When I mess up, I don’t want to be around God, but that’s when he wants me the most. That’s difficult to understand sometimes, but I must not believe the lies. God isn’t how we think he is. He’s so much better. So much more loving. He sees us clothed in the righteousness of Jesus – no matter what.

The LORD make His face shine upon you [with favor], And be gracious to you [surrounding you with lovingkindness]; The LORD lift up His countenance (face) upon you [with divine approval], And give you peace [a tranquil heart and life].’
Numbers 6:25-26 AMP

Come to God like a child who loves their daddy. Throw your arms open, smile big, accept the love he has for you. His grace, mercy, and love are unconditional and boundless. He’s a daddy that loves you the most. He can’t not love you because that is who he is. Think about a dad you’ve seen on Earth who seems to be the most loving to his child. God loves you even more than that. Nobody else can love more than God loves. That’s impossible.

Go into this day resting in that. Think about it all day. May it bring a smile to your face.
