Charlie Kirk Explaining Salvation and Grace

I just love this. I saw these two videos recently and here are the transcripts.

Some people might be here and you might have never been involved in church or whatever and you might say I came here for Charlie and you know I don’t know about this church thing. That’s fine. Welcome.

There’s a Creator that wants to get to know you, that gave you a gift so that you can live forever. You’re broken by your nature. You’re not going to get enough points on the scoreboard to get you to eternal life and there is a gift that you can accept that can get you there.

-The gospel in four words is Jesus took my place.
-The gospel in three words is Him for me.
-Two words: substitutionary atonement.
-One word: grace.

What is grace? We say that a lot. Amazing grace.

Well, first we must talk about what justice is.

– Justice is getting what you deserve. A prison sentence. A judge comes in and say you broke into the store, you get a year in prison.
– Mercy… as you go in front of the judge they say you broke in the store but you serve a month in prison instead of a year. It’s getting less of a sentence.
– But grace is that you’re sentencing hearing when someone shows up and says I’ll serve the prison sentence for that guy. That’s what Jesus gives you.

God bless you guys and thank you so much.

Jesus took your place. That’s grace. It’s unmerited favor. You didn’t have to do anything but accept it / let him take your place. That’s it.

This is why Christianity is different than every other religion in the world and no college will tell you this. People say all the religions are the same. No.

Christianity, unlike any others, all the other religions as you try to get closer to God, Christianity is God who came to you.

What is grace? We know what justice is. You break into a store and you get what you deserve. You get a month in prison. Mercy, you go in front of the judge and he says, you know, give you a week in prison.

Now grace is something different. Grace is that when you die and you face your creator, you may have a list of everything wrong you’ve ever done, ever. Private and public, omniscient, omnipotent, all of it. And a judgment is about to be given. You’re about to get your sentencing. And instead of mercy, instead of justice, all of a sudden someone steps up and says, “Hold on, I know him, I know her. I’ll serve that prison sentence. You can go live free.” That is grace and only Jesus Christ can give you that.

Perfect. Accept God’s grace – his graciousness.

  • Thought for the Day: Simple

I got this thought today: God’s grace makes things simple for us. Pride comes in when we think we have to do more. That works with salvation, for sure – just believe in Jesus (just Jesus / Jesus alone – not our works), and with so many other things. I think God’s grace is him…

  • Be Like Jesus? Hmm.

Here’s a thought… trying to be perfect is idolatry. It’s pride. It’s aspirations of being like God. It’s not humility. God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. This makes sense, right? So when churches tell you to be like Jesus, what do they mean exactly? Yes, we know that avoiding sin keeps…

I saw a TikTok video today and goes to the heart of what I falsely learned as a teenager – that unless I had every sin confessed, I’d end up in Hell. That’s wrong. I wanted to share something in my Bible with you guys. It’s in 1st John 1:9 and it says, “If we…

  • What Repentance REALLY is

TL;DR Summary: Focus on the finished work of Jesus and not the false gospel of maintaining right standing with God through effort or works. Embrace the real gospel: Jesus completed everything, and our salvation and God's love are not dependent on our actions. Repentance is about changing your mind to believe in Jesus' finished work…
